– Stonefix
Stonefix
is a semi-liquid, heat stable chemical additive which improves the
adhesion of binders to aggregates. Bituminous binders normally
adhere to most types of aggregate under dry conditions.
When water is present however, there may be difficulties
in the initial coating of the stone or there may be subsequent
displacement of the binder from the stone surface. Stonefix
effectively reduces or eliminates these problems.
Applications
include use on electronegative stone such as quartzite,
felsite and granite. |

– Bitumen Emulsions
Bitumen
emulsions are utilized to overcome the difficulties of handling
and applying hot binders while constructing roads. BSS manufactures
a range of Anionic and Cationic bitumen emulsions specifically
for road construction applications. Bitumen emulsions overcome
safety and environmental problems associated with hot binders.

Logistics
We
have the capability to produce bitumen emulsions on construction
sites. Where volumes justify this operation we establish
mobile production plants, which not only improves flexibility
but also reduces the price of emulsion supplied to our
clients. We also produce a comprehensive range of polymer
modified emulsions and polymer modified bitumens for spray and mix applications. We
have over the past fifteen years gained much experience
in the logistical requirements of moving Bituminous
binders from source to construction site. We can therefore
confidently meet your needs to supply materials in Bulk
Road Tankers, Bitutainers and drums.
